
Do I have to be Lutheran to go to Bethany?
No, Bethany accepts students from all Christian faiths. While approximately 75%
of our students are Lutheran, most other Christian faiths are represented on
the campus.
Do I have to attend chapel?
While we expect and encourage our students to attend chapel, the only religion
requirement we have at Bethany is that all full-time underclassmen must take
one two-credit religion course a semester, and upperclassmen must take one three-credit
religion course per year.
Does Bethany accept Advanced Placement Test (AP) scores
for credit?
Yes, Bethany will accept a score of 3 or higher on the Advanced Placement Test
(AP) for college credit.
Do you have co-ed residence halls at Bethany?
No, but there is housing available for married students.
Is there open access to all the residence halls?
No, Bethany's residence halls are closed to members of the opposite sex except
during visitation hours. During these times (starting at 7 p.m. weekdays or 1
p.m. on weekends, ending at 11 p.m. school nights or midnight Fridays and Saturdays)
the residence halls are open on a check-in basis to visitors of either gender.
Are there curfews?
No, there are no curfews at Bethany. Residence halls are locked at all times
and a student’s room key is used for access to the building.
Do I have to live on campus at Bethany?
Yes, all full-time students must live on campus for their first two
years unless commuting from home.
Can I have a car at Bethany?
Yes, all students are allowed to have a car at Bethany. All students parking
a car in a campus lot must purchase a parking permit for $100 each year. For

Does Bethany require its students to have a computer?
No. However, each year, we see more and more students with computers in their
rooms and laptops in class. Wireless internet and network access is available campuswide, and all residence hall rooms have wired connections available.

computer, not to worry. Bethany currently has five computer labs (with both Mac and PC terminals) and the student-to-computer ratio is 6:1.
