Amanda Johnson Voice Recital Saturday, February 28 at 7:00 pm in Trinity Chapel - Mezzo-soprano Amanda Johnson performs her solo Senior Voice Recital which includes folk songs, Italian songs, and "Songs from the Sea." Amanda will be accompanied on piano by Sam Johnson. Open to the public, with a reception to to follow in the YFAC.
Viking Nordic Ski Club Are you up for a cross country skiing adventure? The Viking Nordic Ski Club is heading to Hyland Park in Bloomington THIS SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28 to glide across the snow there. This is a perfect opportunity to see if you like skiing skate or classic style! We'll leave Bethany at 10:00, stop for lunch, ski for a couple hours, and return to Bethany around 4:00. Summer Employment at BLC Bethany has a limited number of jobs in housekeeping, grounds, and maintenance available to returning students who are registered full-time for Fall 2015. Art Show Reception, YFAC gallery On Saturday, February 28 at 2:00 pm, you are invited to the Lutheran High School Art Invitational Reception to participate in refreshments, art conversation, and merriment. The students' work will be on display on the Ylvisaker Fine Arts Center gallery from February 21 through March 27.
Residence Halls Closed Over Break Please note that the residence halls will be closed for Spring Break beginning on Friday, March 6 at 5:00pm. The halls will be reopened at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 15. All student fobs will be deactivated over Spring Break. Any student needing to be in the residence halls over Spring Break must complete a written request prior to Wednesday, March 4 by visiting Dr. Ted Manthe, Matt Behmer, or Glenda Bossow.
History Department The History Department cordially invites all students within the History and Broad Field Social Studies majors, as well as those interested in joining the major, to the annual FebFest. This event will be taking place at Professor Timothy Schmeling’s house on Friday, February 27, at 5:30 PM. The address is 111 South Belmont Drive. Now Hiring Scroll Editors Through March 3 applications are being accepted for positions as Scroll Content Editor, Layout Editor, Copy Editor and Media Editor. Applications are located outside the Pub Hub in the lower level of Honsey Hall. Once the application is complete, please contact Denice at dwoller@blc.edu to set up an interview. These scholarship positions will not begin until next semester, but training will be held in April.
