"Painting the Campus Purple!" This week, Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) is "Painting the Campus Purple!" Our goal is to raise awareness and educate others about cancer as well as encourage you to create or join a team for the Relay for Life event on May 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Make sure to check your email this week for a fact about cancer from the American Cancer Society and daily reminders of events going on throughout the week. Summer Employment at BLC Bethany has a limited number of jobs in housekeeping, grounds, and maintenance available to returning students who are registered full-time for Fall 2015. Residence Halls Closed Over Break Please note that the residence halls will be closed for Spring Break beginning on Friday, March 6 at 5:00pm. The halls will be reopened at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 15. All student fobs will be deactivated over Spring Break. Any student needing to be in the residence halls over Spring Break must complete a written request prior to Wednesday, March 4 by visiting Dr. Ted Manthe, Matt Behmer, or Glenda Bossow.
Now Hiring Scroll Editors Through March 3 applications are being accepted for positions as Scroll Content Editor, Layout Editor, Copy Editor and Media Editor. Applications are located outside the Pub Hub in the lower level of Honsey Hall. Once the application is complete, please contact Denice at dwoller@blc.edu to set up an interview. These scholarship positions will not begin until next semester, but training will be held in April.
Check out the 'Beer Goggles'! Try on some 'Beer Goggles' this Wednesday over the lunch hours outside the cafeteria! Kim Stanton, from QUAN in Mankato, will be on campus, giving all who are willing, a chance to try out the goggles to see what the world really looks like after drinking too much alcohol. Communication Major Open House The Communication Major will host an Open House reception on Wednesday, March 4, from 3-4 pm in HH 237. The Open House is open to all students interested in the Communication Major and current majors. Students new to the major will be accepted into the major during the Open House.
