This practicum prepares students to increase their understanding of special education practices, with a program focus on literacy skills and behavior management. Students are required to complete no less than 30 hours of clinical experience in areas including but not limited to special education evaluation, remediation, and progress monitoring in reading. Prerequisites: EDUC100 - Education Foundation/Philosophy, EDUC230 - Educational Psychology & Human Relations, and EDUC370 - Introduction to the Exceptional Learner. Corequisite: SPED320 - Literacy Assessment & Interventions for Students with Disabilities.
