Methods/Strategies Teaching Students with Mild-Moderate Disabilities (sped 401)

This course is designed to provide an overview for teachers on how to plan and deliver instruction for students with mild to moderate disabilities based on screening, progress monitoring, and diagnostic achievement scores. Emphasis is placed on interpreting achievement data, implementing targeted differentiation, evidence-based interventions, and alternate curricula in general and/or special educational settings. Prerequisites: EDUC100 - Education Foundation/Philosophy, EDUC230 - Educational Psychology & Human Relations, and EDUC370 - Introduction to the Exceptional Learner.

SPED401 is a 4 credit course.
