Christians are called to engage with culture and develop their God-given abilities with both determination and integrity. The scholarships listed below are the first step in the development of your unique voice and the realization of your creative potential.
Since 1927, a community of alumni, friends and donors have rallied to support excellence in the arts on our campus. While many collegiate institutions inflate costs and scholarship numbers, Bethany shares actual costs and scholarship awards are stackable. The talent scholarships listed here range from $700 to $2,000 per year and more than 90% of scholarships awarded are maintained through graduation.

Mock Trial/Speech
Develop rhetorical, advocacy, argumentative and critical thinking skills while competing on Bethany’s Mock Trial Team. Fine tune a variety of verbal communication via Bethany’s Collegiate Speech Team. Related careers include law, politics, teaching, pastoral ministry, business, social work, public administration, broadcasting and many others.
Journalism
Writing and reporting talents grow through student contributions to Newspaper - Bethany Scroll, Yearbook - Fidelis or via Photojournalism in the newspaper or yearbook (each a specific scholarship area). Awardees also complete college writing and enroll in Journalism class and other literature or humanities courses.
Music
Three types of music scholarships enhance musical talents and the soul’s experience of joy in life and worship. A Music Class scholarship fits students primarily interested in the academic study of music. The Jenson Memorial focuses on church work and a study of music with a piano foundation. Private Lesson scholarships are also available to those interested in instrumental or vocal lessons.
Theatre
Illuminate a classic or create something out of nothing and watch your vivid story come to life on stage. The Acting Scholarship is for students with on-stage talents or the Technical Theatre Scholarship is for leaders in lights, staging, sound, costume, or design. Awardees will enroll in at least one theatre class per year and be involved with campus productions.
Visual/Media Arts
Increasingly diverse artistic talents grow through the interactive realms of visual and media arts. Whether via art shows, international film festivals or other student-driven events, these scholarship awardees will be Bethany leaders in one of the main scholarship areas: 2D or 3D work, graphic design, video production, or animation/motion graphics.
