PSYC230 Cross-Cultural Media Viewing & Discussion
November 13 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Have you ever wondered how the Tibetan people live high up in the Himalayas? Did you know that the Toraja people in Indonesia might keep the body of a dead relative in their house for over a decade? And why do 7-year-old kids in Tokyo take the trains by themselves to go to school?
You can learn the answers to these questions and more at the Cross Cultural Media Viewing on Wednesday, November 13th, in Honsey Hall 129 from 6:30-8:30pm. The students of PSYC230 Cross Cultural Psychology will present short documentaries by BBC, Vox and other news outlets about cultural conflicts, traditions, and daily life in various parts of Asia. Snacks and drinks will be provided!
