USAF “Midwest Winds” woodwind quintet in concert
November 13 at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America’s Midwest Winds will present a concert at Bethany Lutheran College in the Trinity Chapel on Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00 pm. Admission to the concert is free and tickets are not required. Presented in partnership with Bethany Lutheran College, this is a family-friendly, all-ages event. The Midwest Winds woodwind quintet is an ambassador of the Air Force Band of Mid-America, communicating esprit de corps and rendering honor to our Airmen and country. The group offers a wide range of musical literature, including classical and contemporary music, marches, patriotic crowd pleasers, and light popular music.
Located at Scott Air Force Base, IL, this ensemble honors veterans and active duty military members across a ten state region in the Midwestern United States. This group performs public concerts and educational outreach events, inspiring and connecting with audiences.
The Midwest Winds woodwind quintet provides music for military retirements, changes of command and other official military functions. Public concerts honoring service-members both past and present help connect the Air Force with communities around our bases. This professional ensemble also reaches out to the next generation of music students with concerts, clinics and master classes in wind chamber repertoire and instrumental technique. With these performances, students have a unique opportunity to see a professional music group up close, learning about music and careers in the United States Air Force.
