“I want to go into this but don’t know much about it. What’s the next step? What if I’m good in some areas, but not all of them? Do I need to go to L.A. or N.Y. to be successful?”

Dive In, Stand Out.

The Media Arts Department is a place where filmmakers, artists, designers,  writers, and composers come together to make things. We value passion, curiosity, and equal parts fun and hard work. Our location in southern Minnesota gives us a unique perspective marked by grit, resourcefulness, and versatility.

Students have access to our state of the art facilities, equipment, and labs—all while getting connected to the industry through campus speakers, practical instruction, national trips, and alumni networks. Visit the MART blog to learn more.

“Critical thinking skills, industry awareness, and effective communication permeated every class I took at Bethany and prepared me for a career in design. I learned professional level technical skills in both theory and hands-on experience.”

“Being part of the student newspaper and hockey broadcast crew for four years really helped jump-start my career. Going from the “stats guy” to head producer and co-anchor of the pre-game show provided me with a wide range of experience that led to internships with FOX Sports North and the Minnesota Twins.”
