Noah Battenfeld graduated in 2018 from Bethany Lutheran College with a degree in Elementary Education. Since then, he has brought energy, creativity, and a nurturing spirit to the classroom as a kindergarten teacher at Kasson‑Mantorville Elementary School in Kasson, Minnesota.

Noah finds daily joy in helping young students discover new things and learn to love school. With bright eyes and big hearts, his students invite him into a world of curiosity and growth—often in the very early stages of their educational journeys. Outside the classroom, Noah expresses his creativity through woodworking and collecting basketball cards. He builds birdhouses, benches, and classroom tools—projects that reflect his hands-on approach to life and learning.

What inspires him most are the students themselves. “I love being with kids and being able to teach them,” he says. The path to becoming an educator opened largely because of those who invested in his life, and he hopes to pass that same gift on to the next generation.

Noah aims to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives. He hopes to instill positivity, confidence, and a spirit of resilience in his students—a perspective shaped by his own mentors and life experiences.

He credits Bethany Lutheran College with preparing him well for the classroom. Faculty members in the Education program provided encouragement, practical experience, and strong mentorship. He left Bethany confident and ready to lead his own classroom.

Looking back, Noah fondly remembers the vibrant, supportive Christian community at Bethany. The relationships he formed and the opportunities to grow personally, spiritually, and professionally continue to shape his approach as an educator.

Today, Noah continues to impact children’s lives through creativity, service, and kindness—bringing to life the values and preparation he received during his time at Bethany Lutheran College.
