Data analysis, mathematics education, and mathematical applications.
Mr. Heinze is especially interested in helping students connect mathematical concepts to real-world contexts while developing critical thinking and data literacy grounded in Christian truth.

Biography

A lifelong resident of southern Minnesota, Mr. Heinze grew up on a dairy farm west of Madison Lake. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Mankato from kindergarten through twelfth grade before earning his B.S. in Mathematics Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

He began his teaching career in Comfrey, Minnesota, where he taught grades 7–12 mathematics for seven years. He later earned his M.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from MSU–Mankato, where he also served as a graduate assistant teaching College Algebra and Statistics.

Before joining Bethany Lutheran College in 2025, he spent eight years at Immanuel Lutheran School—two years as a math and science teacher and six years as principal and teacher.

Mr. Heinze is married to his high school sweetheart, and together they have five wonderful daughters.
