Teaching Philosophy

I believe that communication is perhaps the single most important skill that we as humans need to possess. Through my classes, I hope that impart this to my students by keeping classes fun and engaging through a mixture of activities, discussion, personal narratives, and any other tools we can collectively come up with. Above all, I hope to bring enthusiasm to everything I do as an instructor.

Biography

I get to coach the sport I love and teach the subject I love at the school I love alongside a woman I love who gave me two kids that I love. I played studied and played soccer at Bethany from ’95-’97. In 2007, I returned to Bethany to teach in the Communication Department and coach the women’s soccer team. In 2019, I took over coaching duties for the Bethany men’s soccer team and have been with them ever since. I have been happily married to my wife Dianna since 2007 and we have two great kids, Christian and Elyse. Life is good.
